The Dirt Farmer
About 20 years ago, after catching me elbow-deep in compost and caladium bulbs, Great Aunt Emmer said, “Just look at that—she’s a dirt farmer!”
At the time, I didn’t know what she meant, but I do now. And I’m glad to be one.
Dirt farmers love the feel and smell of soil. They love breaking up clods and tucking plants in warm earth. And they'd rather complete even the nastiest garden task themselves than hire it out.
If you're a dirt farmer, I hope you'll become a follower of my hubs. Mostly, they explore today's best gardening practices as well old-fashioned methods and other topics of interest to gardeners.
Hope to hear from you soon. Happy gardening!
